ITHS distributed 1619 qurbani cattle

Int’l Turkish Hope School Chittagong Branch (ITHS) extended its helping hand to deprived populace during Eid-ul-Azha by distributing sacrificial meat in different cities of the country.
Int’l Turkish Hope School Chittagong Branch, a branch Int’l Turkish Hope School Dhaka which is having principal office in Dhaka along with 7 branches in Dhaka, Chittagong and Bogra, like in the previous years this year too handed out an enormous number of Qurbani Meat packets to different areas of Bangladesh to help needy people. Meat packets of 210 Qurbani cattle has been distributed to local people in 26 different points of Chittagong as Hathazari, Sitakunda, Anwara, Bandar, Shatkira, Fatikchari, Rawzan, Rangamaty, Kumira, Lohagara and Noapara. In the city, distributions were held at Agrabad, Nasirabad, Shughonda, Hillview, Anderkellah, Laldighi, Muradpur and Pahartholi on the first and the second days of the Eid.
Yesterday, during a distribution in the city with collaboration of Chittagong City Cooperation among CCC permanent and temporary cleaners who were busy with the cleaning of the streets the day before yesterday, ITHS Chittagong Branch distributed 20 qurbani cattle for Muslims and 21 goats for non-Muslims.
Those who never have the opportunity to eat meat were identified and given coupons, as a result of careful collaboration with local official authorities or the leading figures of the areas / villages. All over the 26 separate distribution locations, our primary aim as always was to personally deliver the qurban meat packets first hand, to those in real need. Preparations of this splendid distribution started about a month back and around 9 members of ITHS participated in the distributions from Chittagong.
The Principal of the school Mr. Bedrettin Suata said that: We see Eid-ul-Azha as a time to extend a helping hand to our needy brethren. As ITHS we try to evaluate Eid time as an opportunity to help the people who are most in need. Therefore as we have done for last 16 years, we arranged Qurbani cattle of which all their meat to be distributed to needy people in many districts and villages. This year with the donations of qurbani cattle done by the benevolent Turkish people living in Turkey, Bangladesh, Europe and USA in company with Bangladeshi well-wishers, number of the Qurbani cattle has been increased to 1619 (one thousand six hundred and nineteen). Besides, about 182 Turkish well-wishers from Turkey and Europe came to Bangladesh and participated in the distributions along with ITHS teachers. This type of activities makes our Eids more auspicious. We distributed around 230 qurbani cattle in the year of 2005 and gradually number of qurbani cattle increased and this year we have reached the number 1690. I hope number qurbani cattle will cross 2000 next year and number of needy people who are going to get the meat packets will be greater than ever. He also added that very strong brotherly links between the two countries will remain long. This event shows love and very good feelings of Turkish people to their Bangladeshi brothers.
Principal thanked everyone who participated in this distribution and especially local well-wishers who made this organization successful.
Natives who received meat packages became very happy and thanked Turkish brothers who donated the Qurbani cattle and gift packages and ITHS that organized this grand distribution. Some of the villagers who received meat packages told: We are very happy today because far away from us our Turkish brothers have been with us with their kind help.
On this holy occasion Turkish and Bangladeshi brothers exchanged their Eid greetings. Members of ITHS participating in the organization seemed very happy and they have been given a warm welcome by the natives.
